Why do you believe we all need a bit more Truly in our lives?

We all need a bit more Truly in our lives, as if we did then we would all look and feel amazing! Our designs are unique, yet timeless and will be favourites for years to come.  It adds a touch of luxury to your everyday!

As soon as I saw the Truly website, I knew it was the perfect place for me to work. I love sumptuous, natural fabrics; such as silk and cashmere and luckily, Truly have these in abundance! As a designer, it is also important to me to work with sustainable fabrics and to find better ways of working to help improve the fashion industry. I’m inspired by Truly’s ethos and I’m looking forward to researching new sustainable fabrications.

Presuming you are currently in the job of your dreams… what drives you at work?

Firstly, it has to be the product I’m designing. This is not difficult with Truly as we have so many gorgeous designs coming through for next season. Secondly, the team I’m working with really drives me. Truly are a wonderful group of people who are all very passionate about what they do and this motivates me to be my best.

What’s your favourite Truly product?

How long have you got?! There are too many to mention, however, if I had to narrow it down, I love the silk cami as it can be worn as nightwear, or equally out for dinner.  Multi-functional items are so useful! I also adore the cashmere boyfriend V-Neck jumper as the yarn is so soft and it is the perfect relaxed silhouette.  For my home, I can’t wait to buy the fluted white wine glasses.

Do you have any extra-curricular hobbies or passions? How do you relax?

Most of my passions, unsurprisingly tend to be centred around fashion, art and design.  I love visiting exhibitions and a trip to the V&A is always a highlight for me. I grew up in a creative household (both my parents are graphic designers) and I’m always happy sketching or painting. Since buying my first house, this has now also transferred into interiors and gardening! When we first moved in the garden was an overgrown disaster. Gradually, I have dug the whole thing up and started from scratch. I have loved learning about plants and enjoyed creating a piece of the countryside in my urban London garden! This has now also become a hobby and a way to relax. Lastly, I have to mention my two cats, Lacey and Poppy. They are sisters and we got them as rescue kittens from the RSPCA.  After a busy day, spending time with them always helps me relax!

What would your last supper be?

As a vegetarian, my favourite dish hands down has to be an Aubergine Parmigiana. I’ve been making it for so many years now, I feel I have perfected the recipe! My husband is Greek Cypriot, so maybe he could make a nice Greek salad to accompany it? To drink, a glass of Sancerre and for pudding, strawberries and cream. They don’t necessarily all go together, but who cares? It’s my last meal!

If you could take a trip anywhere, where would you go? What kind of trip would it be?

A few years ago, my friends convinced me to go trekking to Machu Picchu in Peru. It was exhilarating and one of the best ‘holidays’ I’ve had. I would really like to do another trekking adventure – something like the great wall of China. My husband and I love to discover new places and especially enjoy city breaks. We recently went to Riga, in Latvia for a friend’s wedding and were surprised what an amazing, underrated city it was. I would highly recommend! So, I would also like to do another city break, to somewhere neither of us has been – maybe Oslo, Helsinki or Stockholm? For a luxury, relaxing holiday, Fiji would be the dream!

Let’s talk constellations. What star sign are you? What typical traits do you have?

I’m a Virgo and I think I do hold a lot of typical traits, although maybe not to the extreme which some horoscopes portray us (as uptight list-makers!) I’m loyal, honest and kind. I am a perfectionist, but also I like to keep things simple and to be practical – which I hope is actually a plus side for my job. On the negative side, I am slightly prone to worry or overanalyse, however, the strong side of the Virgo helps me to overcome this!
