Why you believe we all need a bit more Truly in our lives…
I just love the easiness of the brand. Our products are easy and accessible to everyone. and definitely meant for daily use, whilst still looking great ‘on show.’ I came to work at Truly as I desperately wanted to be part of a start-up brand, where I could bring my own passions to the table, in an environment where my thoughts and ideas would be heard. There’s such a special team atmosphere at Truly. Everyone works together to make it the best it can be and is excited to see it grow.

Presuming you are currently in the job of your dreams… what drives you at work?
To work collaboratively with a great team on a shared goal and feel like I’m really making a difference and I can honestly say I’ve found that at Truly.  Having moved across from an agency, working on multiple accounts, I’m loving the experience of helping to build one brand from the ground up. I’ve also been given the opportunity to exercise my writer’s brain since arriving and have found myself fully ensconced in Truly’s blog and social media content, which is fantastic.

Do you have any extra-curricular hobbies/passions? How do you relax?
I love baking, and no more so, than when the Great British Bake Off is back on tv. In the past, my biggest baking issue has been finding people to eat my wares, but I don’t think that’s going to be a problem here! Everyone loves an afternoon sweet treat around here. The best cake I ever made, took me seven hours to complete. It was a multi-layered Oreo Cheesecake. The only problem was, I made it the day before going away and three-quarters of it went to waste! I promise I’ll make one for the office to celebrate the Truly launch!

Incidentally, I do also have passions outside of food! I love interiors. I used to live in Brighton and liked nothing more than mooching around all the quirky shops in The Lanes, looking for things to decorate my home.

What’s your Favourite Truly Product?
I love all the homeware products. I’m really into interiors so no surprise there! If I had to pick one product, I love the serveware – particularly the Pom Pom Platter. It sums up Truly in a nutshell for me, it’s simple, yet beautiful and not like anything I’ve seen before – whilst having multiple uses. I just love a pom pom really!

What would your last supper be?
Oh my God, I can’t believe you’ve asked me to choose. I love food. That’s such a difficult question. To be honest, I love anything Italian. Arancini and creamy pasta are my favourites. In fact, I love pasta! I think I would just have loads of different pasta dishes to dip between, and for dessert, obviously any cake or biscuit! You only have to ask the team about my biscuit issues. I chomp my way through any I can find! I literally can’t help myself.

If you could take a trip anywhere, where would you go?  What kind of trip would it be?
I would like to go to Cuba. It’s somewhere I’ve never been but I just love the idea of it. It seems so untouched in the last twenty to thirty years. I like the Cuban style…all the cars… and don’t get me started on the food! The best place I’ve been in my life to date was Sri Lanka. My mum got married there a few years ago, so we rented a villa on the beach, completely off the beaten track and literally lived the unspoilt Sri Lankan life of suppers on the beach with as much fresh fish as you could manage. It was my first real long-haul trip and I savoured every minute.

Let’s talk constellations. What star sign are you?  Do you have any typical traits?
I’m a Leo. I’ve had a look through the traits list and come to the conclusion, that even though my birthday falls right in the middle, I’m not a very good Leo. A couple of things I agree with – I am a kind and helpful person, but I don’t think I’m particularly optimistic, which is supposed to be a big one. I do try to be, but I’m a bit of a negative nelly, to be honest. I’m also neither egotistic or possessive…unless there’s a packet of biscuits on the table obviously… I’m not sharing with anyone. 😉
